Magic in the Library
For those of you who saw Tom Joyce's magic act earlier this week, take heart. It's not too late to enter the world of magic! In the library, go to the 793.7 section; you'll find a few great books on magic and sleight of hand. If you venture over to the Biography section, be sure to check out Sid Fleischman's Escape! and Tom Lalicki's Spellbinder, both wonderful biographies of Harry Houdini.
If you're interested in magic sites on the Internet, here are a few good ones to get you started:
- Eye Magic Optical Illusions You won't believe your eyes!
- Magic Show From simple to complex, master the dozens of tricks shown at this site.
- Magic Tricks on Kids' Mysteries Simple yet deceptive sleight of hand tricks.
Next time, how to play like Skanky Green!
