How Do We Read?
Thanks to Phil Bradley's weblog for alerting us to this great video.  Now, many of us may spend very little time thinking about the future of the written word.  But with new technologies popping up all the time, and with limited dollars to spend from our library budgets, this is a very serious issue for librarians.  We want to help students find characters and ideas that will push them, prod them, lift them, and guide them.  How can we best do this?

The people at the publishing house Dorling Kindersley have addressed the issue in this video, and they have done it cleverly and thoughtfully.  This is sure to spark conversation from anyone who sees this.

What do you think?

I think this is great to listen to because it shows two different points of view of one person.

I think it is a good way to teach kids how good it is to read book they will learn new thing in the world. If you read a book it is like a tv you can read. They are some thing you will always have in the world. They are the book you read to your childern at night. There the best thing you can ever havethey are books they take you on the jorney of a life time. They are like mini tv's that run free in you head.
